Google is always an amazing source of searching. I really love how diverse they make everything too. Today they are covering the birth of hip hop and it’s always a good thing to remember ones history.

So here’s to day one! Enjoy the Read.

At his sister’s back-to-school party on August 11—44 years ago today—he introduced what’s since become recognized as hip-hop to an extremely enthusiastic audience. “Once they heard that, there was no turning back,” the pioneer told New York magazine. “They always wanted to hear breaks after breaks after breaks.”-Amy Plitt (Cross posted from Curbed NY)
