New year for new opportunities. My promise to you.
We are already 4 days into the new year and, like all things new, opportunities present themselves to make way for a bright year. As such, I will make it my duty to bring the most and the best content that I can in dealing with games, movies and other geekdom. Aside from this post I will try my best to uphold a schedule of updates on Mondays and Fridays and will try to fill in as much in between as possible. That is my creed and it will be done. I’m really looking forward to this gaming year.
Unlike most people, I decided to make the next-gen switch around last November. Best time to try to get a deal in my opinion but there is always something better out there. I made the leap to Playstation 4 and decided it was for the best as far as trying to embrace the new tech of the future (insert fanfare of Tron music…Or future music of your choice. Laser show not included). Coming from the simple menu setup of Xbox 360 and going into a less user-friendly menu that the Playstation has, I was able to fanagle my way around until I felt a little more comfortable using the system. It may seem like a hassle but once you get used to it things become the average ho-hum and you can game just fine.
The game play on the system is very smooth with a well refined graphics engine. Playing Destiny on PS4 was just as fun, if not slightly better, as playing on the 360. The only real issue that I ran into was the obvious Christmas hack done by
Lizard Squad. The last game I had brought, Guilty Gear Xrd, was unable to connect to the Playstation Network so I was unable to even play the game from the disc. And that is an issue which I can not wrap my head around. If I buy the disk why do I have to connect to the internet just to play something that I brought. I’ll get into that another time when I make additional post (there just isn’t enough room on this post right now, not for the rage!)
But for now, as a recap I’ll be covering
And I’ll be updating every
